The Eurasia Foundation is pleased to announce a call for applications for funding Applied Research Projects under the Civil Society Support Program in Central Asia (CSSP), a five-year initiative funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

 

The purpose of the program: This program is aimed at developing a dynamic and responsive civil society in Central Asia. Within the CSSP, applied research projects should be designed to analyze national, regional, or municipal government policies or programs. The applied analysis funded by the CSSP should aim to raise awareness among the public and interested social groups about the relevance of public policy priorities, strengthen the accountability of public institutions, and promote their openness and transparency to the public.

 

Eligibility: Non-profit think tanks and research organizations based in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are eligible to apply for grants for applied research projects. However, only applicants from Kazakhstan as individual researchers can also apply for applied research grants. These applicants must be registered as an individual entrepreneur.

The project’s activities can continue for any period of up to six months from May 1 to October 31, 2021. Funding for the project will range from $ 7,000 to $ 10,000.

 

 

Application Deadline: All interested applicants from Kazakhstan must submit their application via the EF’s Grant Management Platform no later than April 25, 2021 at 23: 59 Almaty time (GMT+6). Access code: PRPKZ.
