Eurasia Foundation (EF) announces a call for applications for Innovative Solution Grants through an open competition as part of Social Innovation in Central Asia (SICA). SICA is a five-year program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by EF.
Aim of the grant:
- to cultivate a vibrant and responsive civil society in Central Asia for the implementation of projects based on new ideas, strategies and/or technologies, innovative approaches in the development of civic activism that contribute to the systemic and sustainable development of Kazakhstan and the solution of socially significant issues.
Priority areas of grants:
- Public monitoring of government programs to help prevent corruption risks;
- The use of new technologies, art and media to promote democratic values, the rule of law and freedom of speech;
- Development and strengthening of cooperation between organizations and/or initiative groups of civil society.
Total available amount for one grant: up to 15,000 USD
Number of grants: from 6 – 10 projects
Eligibility:
- Registered civil society organizations and initiative groups from Kazakhstan are eligible to apply
- Applications are accepted in the state or Russian languages
