A competition for a research scholarship from the Prague Civil Society Centre has been announced

The scholarship program is designed for leading representatives of civil society and researchers from Eastern Europe and Central Asia to conduct intensive research, write articles and build networking in Prague, Czech Republic.

 

The scholarship funds the following projects of participants:

  • Research of problems, opportunities and trends affecting civil society and human rights;
  • Writing a book or textbook, a policy or analytical document that will benefit people and/or the civil sector;
  • Concept development and initiation of a new project.

 

The three-month program will cover transportation and basic living expenses, as well as assist in obtaining a visa for selected participants.

 

Eligibility:

Have the right to apply for participation in the competition:

  • Journalists, experts, researchers, human rights defenders, environmental or urban activists, as well as members of non-governmental organizations and community groups from Eastern Europe or Central Asia with proven experience and commitment to civil society in their country or region;
  • The application must be completed in English or Russian.
