The Fashion Girls in Business participants met with successful women during two informal online meetings last week. The guests of the project were the founder and regional director of Geneva Business School in Kazakhstan, as well as co-founder of the virtual reality startup In-VR Alina Abdrakhmanova and the founder and designer of the ByOva women’s clothing brand, established in 2019, Anar Baitemirova. They shared their entrepreneurial success stories with the girls.
Talking about her numerous projects, including the new In-VR project, Alina Abdrakhmanova drew the attention of novice entrepreneurs to the importance of having a good team for the success of any project: “At the start, you need to be very careful about the choice of people. For me, it is very important in business that I can trust the people I work with as much as possible”. In addition, Alina Adrakhmanova gave answers to the participants’ questions on how to turn a startup into a successful project, where to look for funding and how to understand that the project has reached a dead end.
Anar Baitemirova spoke about cooperation with large retail companies throughout Kazakhstan based on her own experience of selling clothes in a network of multi-brand stores in the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Atyrau and Aktau.
The Fashion Girls in Business project is implemented by Civil Initiatives Support Center in partnership with the American Corners program of the US Embassy in Nur-Sultan.
