The Fashion Girls in Business project came to an end

The costume sewing competition for theatrical performance completed the Fashion Girls in Business project, which was implemented by the Civil Initiatives Support Center in partnership with the American Corners program of the U.S. Embassy in Nur-Sultan.
Representative of the U.S. Embassy in Nur-Sultan, Cultural Attaché Amber Aura, and Director of the Project Office for Non-State Grant Financing of the Civil Initiatives Support Center Aigerim Karimova visited the event to support the contestants.
In addition, the jury of the competition were the director of Red Point Kazakhstan Assel Kozhakova, art-director of TSE Art Destination gallery Baurzhan Sagiev and the grant officer of the U.S.Embassy in Nur-Sultan Zarina Karimova.
The participants of the Fashion Girls in Business project were college students from Nur-Sultan city, enrolled in educational programs in the field of sewing / manufacturing and modeling. The project lasted a total of 5 months, during which the participants completed more than 12 hours of training in the format of online seminars on the topics of business planning, marketing, sales and communications, as well as fashion history.
Also, within the framework of the project, meetings were organized with successful women of Kazakhstan, who shared their experience and knowledge. Thus, on June 16, the final meeting with successful women of Kazakhstan took place. The speaker was the founder of the Mimioriki brand Inna Apenko.
The Cultural Attaché of the U.S. Embassy in Nur-Sultan, Amber Aura, congratulated the organizers and participants on the completion of the project and thanked them for their active participation in the implementation of Fashion Girls in Business project:
“I would like to express my gratitude for your interest and participation in the project learning the basics of entrepreneurship. I hope the participants received the necessary knowledge about entrepreneurship that will help them start their own business. ”
According to Amber Aura, the goal of the project was to broaden the horizons of the participants in business and show the ways to success. In addition, during the project, the participants got acquainted with American culture and its classical literature.
5 teams took part in the competition for sewing costumes for theatrical performance. The costumes, as well as the theatrical performance itself, were prepared by the participants of the Fashion Girls in Business project.
As a result of the competition, each of the participants, representing the winning team, received a 45 thousand tenge gift card, the rest of the project participants also received gift cards for 19 thousand tenge.
Under the direction of Maya Temirbulatova, a brief fashion show of the Tomiris collection by the students of the Nur-Sultan Vocational and Technical College closed the event.
