During the session “Volunteering and Environmental Action within the Framework of the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development,” important memorandums were signed aimed at strengthening international cooperation in the field of environmental volunteering.
Project “Caspian Sea Action Week 2026”
A memorandum of intent was signed for the implementation of an initiative focused on the preservation and protection of the Caspian Sea 🌊
The initiative provides for the development of joint environmental actions, volunteer programs, and increased environmental awareness regarding the condition of the Caspian region.
Project “GREEN ARAL: Volunteers for Life”
A memorandum was also signed on the joint implementation of an initiative to develop environmental volunteering in the Aral Sea region.
The project aims to unite the efforts of regional countries in environmental restoration and the development of volunteer initiatives.
Within the framework of the signed memorandums, major international initiatives will be implemented:

📌 Aktau, Mangystau Region, Kazakhstan
👥 Participants: countries of the Caspian region (up to 150 official participants, more than 2,000 participants in overall activities)
📍 GREEN ARAL
📅 October 5–11, 2026
📌 Kyzylorda, Kazakhstan
👥 Participants: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan (up to 150 official participants, more than 2,000 participants in overall activities)
The signing of the memorandums became an important step toward strengthening international partnership and developing environmental volunteering in the region.
