The Civil Initiatives Support Center, together with the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, announces a Small Grants Competition for NGOs and volunteers.
The aim of the project is to support civic initiatives focused on addressing pressing social issues in the regions and to encourage the development of the volunteer movement. As part of the competition, financial support will be awarded to 96 outstanding projects.
Support Areas and Number of Grants
This year, grants are distributed among the following priority areas:
- Development of volunteer initiatives (60 grants): volunteer projects in the fields of emergency response, ecology, healthcare, culture, animal protection, and social support.
- Development of an inclusive society (18 grants): projects aimed at creating a barrier-free environment for people with special needs.
- Development of rural areas (18 grants): initiatives focused on improving quality of life in rural communities and increasing civic engagement.
Eligibility Requirements
Applications are accepted from the following categories:
- Registered non-governmental organizations (NGOs);
- Initiative groups implementing volunteer projects;
- Individuals over 18 years old (for the volunteer initiative category).
Funding and Project Implementation
Each winning project will receive 1,000,000 KZT for implementation.
In addition, the Center’s specialists will provide methodological guidance and support throughout the implementation period. The project implementation period is 3 months.
Application Procedure
Applications for participation in the competition will be accepted from April 13 to April 30, 2026.
