In Astana, a discussion was held on the role of civil society in implementing constitutional amendments.

A round table on the topic “The Role of the Civil Sector in the Implementation of Constitutional Changes” was held at the Civil Initiatives Support Center. The discussion was attended by more than 30 representatives of non-governmental organizations, as well as experts in the fields of education, human rights protection, digitalization, ecology, and regional development.

During the meeting, participants noted that the constitutional changes cover key areas of public life and discussed the important role of the civil sector in explaining these reforms and engaging the population in the reform process. Special emphasis was placed on the contribution of civil institutions to youth support, protection of citizens’ rights, regional development, digitalization, and enhancing the country’s intellectual potential.

Particular attention was also given to the significance of the organization “Qazaqstan’s People’s Council” as an effective mechanism for broad public involvement in the implementation of reforms.

As a result of the meeting, it was noted that the activity of civil society contributes to improving the quality of constitutional reforms and fostering a sustainable and open dialogue between stakeholders.
