The application period has concluded for the small grants competition offering funding of 1,000,000 tenge aimed at fostering civic initiatives in Kazakhstan. This year, 520 applications were submitted across eight categories.The highest level of participation was recorded in the areas of history and culture (103 applications), social volunteering (102), and environmental initiatives (76). Projects were also submitted in the fields of healthcare, animal welfare volunteering, emergency response, inclusive society development, and support for rural communities. Compared to 2025, increased activity was observed in several areas, including social initiatives, healthcare, and emergency response volunteering. At the current stage, the evaluation of submitted projects has begun. Independent experts will identify the most promising and effective initiatives that will receive financial support for implementation.
